Games / Quake III + mesaFX

I have WinXP and those new mesaFX drivers which came with Amigamerlin 3.1.

Btw. I must always use default openGL in every game. For some reason voodoo openGL is not working... Should it?

I have Voodoo5.. But still the game doesn't run good. My machine is AMD 1,2 Ghz 512 RAM. So power should be no bottle neck.

Hi,

I'd like to know what is the dll-file that should be replaced with mesaFX OpenGL-file. The game is running very slow right now. For example Quake II and Kingpin have 3dfxgl.dll file which I replaced. Those games did also run very slow before.

Thanks for your help!:)

My problem is that every game that uses D3d works very slowly. For example System Shock 2 is unplayable and Severance works faster with voodoo2. Turning off antialiasing won't help.  Glide & OpenGL work well...

Specs: 120 Ghz, 512 Mt RAM, Voodoo 5 5500, WinXP, Amigamerlin 3.0

Changing the driver didn't help... [:(]
I'm sure someone knows how to make this game work. Please share your information.

P.S. D3d works, but is extremely slow and uckly...[xx(]

The driver version is R1. Haven't tried with AM 3.0 (If the previous version works why wouldn't the newer one?)...  The OS is WinXP.

Hi,

Specs:
AMD Athlon 1,2 Ghz, 512Mt Ram, Voodoo 5 5500

The problem is that when I open a book (e.g. The journal) the whole book is messed up (graphics). Same goes for the bags. It's impossible to play when you cannot read books or use the inventory... Drivers are Amigamerlin 3.1.

Thanks for your help

Does anybody know if Thief 3 or the new Pirates works with voodoo 5 5500?
