no, not errors

it just keeps loading, and loading, and loading....... [}:)]

IE loads it in a matter of seconds. then i noticed the address change, and copied that into firefox, worked perfect.

edit: ah, it was a bit of a script error. taken care of now.

hum, is it odd for tripod not to like firefox (0.9.3)? I had to actually open up IE (ugh) in order to get the site to load.

Voodoo4/5 Discussions / v5 agp vs v5 pci

well, mine's been running at that speed for a long time now just fine. Voodoo 5 5500 Bios 1.18/Rev A 1900

Yeah, the Voodoo rush is undoubtly the worst card 3dfx made, it was slower than the original Voodoo 1. 3dfx dropped support for it completely in (methinks) 1999: I think the last drivers just barely support DirectX 6, if not, DirectX 5. Time for a new card.

hmm, yeah, it sounds like you still have the mainboard bios set up for the agp card, so dos-based apps would have difficulty finding it under dos. But windows would recognize it as the only adapter there, and set it as the primary

AMD Video Cards / agp 4x in a 2x slot

shouldn't be a problem. I've had my AGP 8x Radeon 9500 running in my AGP 1x slot of my old P2, ran fine.

gracias ggab, fue buscandolo una foto de eso

hmm, it should have it's own section in the 3dfx tools, I believe (once you open the tools, that is)

you have to click the option in the 3dfx tools

Seems possible on Voodoo 4/5, but probably not on earlier (can't say for sure, they're not very clear on DirectX/OpenGL requirements). Now that I see this, there might be some issues with dx9. And then there's this...

These are a pair of Diamond Monster 12mb Voodoo 2s. You need a VGA cable only to connect the 2D adapter to the master Voodoo 2 (usually the one in the upper PCI slot). You already have the SLI cable connecting the two voodoo 2s together, so you should just be able to install it just like it is, hook up the VGA cable (a monitor extension cable will work, if you don't have the original), install drivers and go.

Heh, those old Abit BH-6s are great, aren't they? Currently have one with a 667MHz P3.Yep, thats 133FSB, which the 440BX definately wasn't meant to handle. Only problem is, my NIC didn't like the higher PCI Bus (44MHz vs. 33MHz), so I had to find a different one. But the Voodoo 5 works fine on an 88MHz bus. Anyways, enough ranting. I honeslty don't know if that would work or not. Since the Voodoo 5 AGP is just basically a PCI card with an AGP connector, it might, but since the AGP speed is always 66MHz (or...in that range), the BIOS MIGHT be set up for that, so it wouldn't work correctly. Anyways, if you flash it and it goes bum, be sure to get a backup of the original before you do. Then put in an AGP card and set that one to be the default in the BIOS (it's in the Advanced Chipset Settings I think, don't want to disturb the rest of the house by turning it on). The u should be able to re-flash it with the original BIOS (or with the latest PCI BIOS, version 1.16, available on stanto's site, which is linked to above).

BTW, I haven't played with the bios yet cuz ive been having issue with my other box, using that one to straighten the **** out, so i don't have time to fool around, that'll come soon.

Why most of american people thought that Czech republic is in Eastern Europe? You don't have geography at school? Czech republic is in Central Europe. But I undestand that Europe is smaller than America, but is good to know where is lies than you locate it to somewhere. ;)

Some people from Europe are allergic on it. ;)

P.S. BTW the Rampage was borrowed from Hank. He is in someway connected with our small country.

does this use the tightened RAM timings that the 1.18 had originally, or the looser ones (for overclocking) from earlier versions (or even custom)? And lecram, yes I'm aware that the 3500 ran at 183MHz, it was the only MARKETED card that ran at that speed. But I'm sure that a V5 5500 could probably handle 183MHz fine for a while. I'd test it, but it's too late, i threw my stock cooling in the trash, except for one fan mounted on my 440BX's heatsink.
