Title: Help with Halo: Combat Evolved
Post by: SBK on 01 November 2013, 20:12:54
Hello! New user here :D I love that 3D Analyzer was made! However... I am having errors trying to run Halo Combat Evolved.

These are my system specs.

2.0 GHZ Pentium 4

512 MB of DDR RAM

ATI Rage 128 Ultra 32 MB (card that doesn't have T&L)

The problem I'm having is getting past Halo's check for the video card. I tried using all the ID's from the 4 graphic cards listed but I'm still getting the same check. I have even tried running the game in its own Safe Mode and to no avail.

The only thing I have checked off in 3D Analyzer is the emulation of T&L Hardware. Nothing else has been checked. I also have DirectX 9 installed. Windows XP is the operating system. If more info is needed please let me know.

Hi SBK,

you're welcome.

Which error do you get if you try to run Halo: Combat Evolved using 3D-Analyze?

Bye bye

There is a config.txt in your game directory which tells halo which cards to let play on what settings. swap your card's name with another one and it COULD work.
I have a modified config.txt so it works on Voodoo4/5 cards.
