General Discussions / what voodoo is it?

Yes, it's Triple D (Axle) Banshee. This Banshee is quite interesting, because it often uses 7ns RAM modules, which are placed on both PCB sides.

today i got a 5500 with Rev A2 and PCB Date of 3300... it has Toshiba 6NS RAM and has the AGP 4x notch... (but uses nevertheless 3,3v since Pin A2 on the backside of the AGP Connector is not connected... used a Multimeter (english: circuit analyzer ?!) for testing it...

Updated :)

Quotedid i have a "rare?" PowerColor 4500 32mb AGP card?
(like, the "3 with only the Vga Monitor Output" ?)

"low quality" pic:

No, this is NOT a PowerColor non-TVout card. All PowerColor V4 are "Made in Taiwan". But this one is "Made in China". Could it be from 3Dfx factory located in China (like some V3)??? Looks like a very rare V4 :-)

PowerColor - Evil King IV non-TV-out (non-L) is not a common card, too; but it is different - I own one  :D

edit: here is a better picture: http://www.3dfx.cz/collections/no-x/ek4.jpg

This card was sold as retail, but cheaper "L" (OEM) version replaced it soon.

btw. here is actual list of built by 3Dfx Voodoos (revisions):

That Obsidian 2 AGP is an onboard SLI solution, so you have 2 Voodoo II's on one board. Since you put the board in the AGP port, the 2D card, obviously, has to be PCI.

Obsidian 2 S-12 AGP is not SLI solution. It has only one V2 chipset.

secretfj: I know, that TV-out on V1s works permanently (analog loop-back connection with 2D card is enough)

for Quantum 3D, they don't need 8 PCI slots as they have merged V2 SLI in one board and uses one PCI bus (usually two seperate cards), it's called X24
putting 4 X24 together makes mercury..(with many special tweaking in hardware absolutely by Q3D), have i got everything right?

Mercury contains from 4x Obsidian 200SBi boards (200SBi is not 2-X24!), Mercury AA module, Mercury Riser and Mercury I/O.

this is Obsidian 200SBi:

and this is Obsidian 2 X24 (they are different ;))

Voodoo2 Discussions / Two Untypical Voodoo2 Boards?

"Made in Taiwan" V2 built by 3Dfx? ;) It's possible, that some boards built by PowerColor were sold as 3Dfx V2. But 3Dfx itself manufactured Voodoos (V3, V4, V5) only in Mexico (STB) and China.

New-logo-card is PowerColor ver.2.1 Voodoo 2

Can you post a better picture of the first board?

Boards with mem. modules only at the front side, yellow round sticker at D-Sub and chipset with new 3Dfx logo (rev.2.1), are from PowerColor. (older 2.0 rev. is equipped with old-logo-chipset)

back to Voodoo 3: Does your motherboard support TV-out? According to 3Dfx tools it should be supported. But I can not find conexant encoder or SVHS connector...

Trying to flash a BIOS, which doesn't belong directly to your integrated V3, can be very risky.

Is this your machine? :)

This is one of PB computers with onboard Voodoo3 - "Packard Bell - Club 800P" (MSI-6168 with V3-8MB, 143MHz / Intel PIII-800MHz)
