My PC has a 3DFX Voodoo 3 3500 Video Card and I can't find the driver (or software) that allows me to utilize TV-in (the TV output works, however I used to have a program that allowed me to watch cable TV on my screen with a program.... Don't have that program/ability anymore)..
My OS is Win2K (I know I did not have this problem when I was using Win98)
Some people have told me to go to http://www.voodoofiles.com/6826 and some have said I may need to go to WinXP, but I really want to keep Win2K....
One person told me to install "3dfx Voodoo3 3500 V1.06.00rc1" and then installing "VisualReality V3.10.06" (found on http://www.falconfly.de/voodoo3-3500.htm)... This did not work :(
Can anyone help ? Thanks!
according to the site, it's recommanded to use DScaler, maybe this will work with ur V3 3500TV in
also, have u tried software like Power VCR or PowerTV? this may work with ur 3500 also with better functions.
P.S. I'm not lucky enough to get myself a V3 3500..just some guessing
I have tried Dscaler (with no luck) ....
Do you have links to any of the programs you've suggested ???
Thx!
What's your problem exactly ? Are you sure that the driver is correctly installed ? What's the error message ?
Thanks for the posts NightBird...
I tried installing "3dfx Voodoo3 3500 V1.06.00rc1" and then installing "VisualReality V3.10.06" ... Did not work...
The installs end up being the same as I am now (tv-out, but no TV-in working)...
I get the error message "The TV drivers are not installed. Please install them by pressing the 'Driver' button after re-inserting the installation CD in the CD-ROM drive" (when trying to initiate 3dfxTV) OR "The TV/FM drivers are not installed. Please install them by pressing the 'Driver' button after re-inserting the installation CD in the CD-ROM drive" when trying to initiate FM (which I don't care as much about, but appears to be the same issue)
I also tried installing Dscaler (and it did install, but can't get it to show TV???)
Any help would be hugely appreciated!!! Thx
After installing the drivers and before Visual Reality, did you reboot your machine ?

yes
i also rebooted in between installations and not ... I tried every way possible (for like 7 hours) :(
go into device manager, under sound, video, and game controllers and see if there is a voodoo3tv wdm installed. if not, then install it from where ever the drivers are.
