I bought Dell 24inch wide LCD monitor.
I thought my portege R100 can support 1920x1200 resolution because its maximum resolution is 2048x1536, but it doesn't. TT
Graphic chip is trident cyber xp4.
I already tried using PowerStrip software but it didn't work for trident graphic chipset.
Is there any way I can use WUXGA(1920x1200) resolution using my portege R100 like registry modification, driver editing or what ever?

The chipset is not supported by PowerStrip or the chipset doesn't allow user-defined resolutions ?
The chip set is not supported by PowerStrip(custom resolution) and there is no user-defined resolution option on my computer. I think it doesn't have user-defined resolution.
Is your monitor ?
Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW 24-inch Wide Aspect Flat Panel LCD Monitor with Height Adjustable Stand
(superb !)
I read also :
To optimize this monitor's performance, your system must be able to support WUXGA resolution (1920x1200).
And in the compatibility list, your chipset video is not here.
edit : according EnTech (PowerStrip FAQ)
You must be using a Matrox G-series, Parhelia, NVidia, 3dfx or ATI Radeon graphics card, with the latest driver. At this time, no other graphics chips or drivers allow custom, user-defined resolutions. Put another way: S3, SiS, Trident, Intel, and ATI Rage and Rage128 users should go no further - you are limited to the resolutions you find in Display properties.
ps : in the inf., you can't add the resolution 1920,1200 ?
