Title: 33mhz or 66mhz? pci bus
Post by: Gaz on 09 August 2011, 21:21:33
when i get my v5500 pci, will it be running at 66mhz bus or 33mhz bus? [?]

i'm sure i read somewhere that the old PCI bus in newer computers can run at 66mhz?

if, not, is there anyway to get it to work at that speed?

A voodoo5 PCI would run:
- @33MHz in a regular PCI slot.
- @66MHz in a PCI-X slot.

where can i get the adapter?

also, is the MAC version of the pci card capable of 66mhz out of the box? or is the only difference between then the addition of a flat panel display connector?

yes, the cards are running @66Mhz or 33Mhz ..out of the box.
To run the card @66Mhz you need a pci-x board or an pci2pcie adapter.
For the adapters look here:
