I think that i can help you as soon as i find again the manual, probably tomorrow. ;)
In the first game you should find an option in the menu.
But I think your problem is another one. When you continue a saved game you should start at the beginning and if you run a few, you'll find a portal. This portal transport you to any portals you had found before. If you had not found a portal, you have to do everything again.
Games like Resident Evil have the same method of saving games. You should write in a typewriter your progress every certain time.
thanks,i think i found that portal but i still don't know how to save ,i used 'ecs' key and save game option,but when i load game i could not be back the poit that i saved .in fact i don't know how to transport me to where i want to go.i played Resident Evil ,and i think the save game system is better and easier.
Well, you'll find one portal at the beggining of the game (this is the principal portal) and if you play about one hour or more (yes it is a bit boring) to this game you'll find your second portal. Once you have found this portal you have to activate it (if I remember this portal is in a door before a cataracts)and you'll be able to transport you to it. Now save the game and exit, and run one more time the game, choose Continue and at the beggining you have to run to Principal portal and if you are upon one circle of the ground, you have to press (if I remember) Ctrl key to activate it. Once you activate it, it shows you all the portals that have been activated.

well thanks again. I found several protals in the game ,but i don't know how to activate it .press the action key ,several symbols appear,i tried it one by one but still failed,the problem is :i don't know how to activate the tranport system.
When you find a new portal, for example the portal that is after the castle and before the cataracts, you enter in a door that goes to a portal (this is the first portal / save point). Once you have found it put uppon the portal and activate it with action key and cross the portal. Now save the game and exit to main menu. Load the game and now go to principal portal, activate it with action key.
If you press right arrow you'll see first portal, second portal, .... When you see a portal with a darker color, you knows that you have been in that portal. Now you have to cross it and you would have to be in the portal you've selected.
I hope now works. I had tried this game in WinXP but it doesn't work correctly because when I load a saved game, the game goes dark during a lot of time and I have to close it with Ctrl+Alt+Del
thanks a lot.I will try it again.i remember once i pressed action key,i just could see different symbols for different portals,and i just freezed, could not move,the only thing that i could do was to choose the the portal and i could see a ghost(or a soul?)when a certain protal was selected,is that the sign for the activated portal?
anyway,i will try it this weekend, hope i can succeed,thanks for your help
