Hello !

Finally I found win2kddk.exe ! It's the Windows 2000 SP1 DDK (for WinME and Win2k)
ftp://ftp.psu.ru/pub/windows/develop/
http://www.vckbase.com/tools/drv/

Well, I got the same error. I've got Visual C++ 6.0 Standard Edition, but the DDK only supports Professional or Enterprise Edition. Too bad.

I hope that Daniel Borca or Koolsmoky are still working on Voodoo Banshee drivers, even if the topic at FalconFly.de was closed.

Best regards

Thanks for the NEW drivers. I hope that you won't forget Voodoo Banshee users. Nevertheless I will appreciate updated Glide/OpenGL files :)

Daniel Borca's guide is a good one;)

Well, rc.exe is the resource compiler, or am I wrong ?

About the files : MSVC 1.52 (not 1.60) is needed according to the original makefile from source code. But anyway, thanks.
It seems that XP DDK contains MSVC 16-bit compile tools, but I don't have this DDK. It would be nice if you would try to compile the VB driver, because you've got the XP DDK and MSVC 6.0.

Hello !

Well, I think you should open file 3dfxvs2k.inf and add PCI/VEN_121A&DEV_0005&SUBSYS_104D121A&REV_01 to the list and save changes. After that, install should procede.

Well, Daniel Borca will try again to compile the VB driver. He is a good man and we (all Banshee users) appreciate his efforts.

So you have VC++ 1.60 : is it for 16-bit compiling ? Anyway if the file isn't too big, please send me the file(s) at phoenix15@free.fr
Thank you very much !

BTW Daniel Borca needs feedback. Did you send him your comments about the VB driver ?

Hi !

Could McLeod help us for compiling Voodoo Banshee driver 4.12.01.0675 ?

Has somebody Visual C++ 1.52 ? I need 16-bit compile tools (cl.exe, link.exe, rc.exe).

Hello !

I am PHOENIX.I have a 3Dfx Banshee and I seek help for compiling Win9x driver 4.12.01.0675 from 3dfx source code released by NuAngel.

Daniel Borca has already compiled a driver. On his homepage http://www.geocities.com/dborca/ you can download file http://www.geocities.com/dborca/voodoo/dx.tgz which contains instructions.

Unfortunately, Daniel Borca sent me a not working Voodoo Banshee driver. If somebody could provide help, I would be grateful.

If anybody can compile a working Banshee Win9x driver, please send me a copy at phoenix15@free.fr. Thank you very much in advance !

Best regards

Hi !

It is a Voodoo Graphics aka Voodoo1 with 6 MB RAM. Most VG boards have 4 MB RAM.

Hello,

Credits go to FalconFly for this great idea !

QuoteYep, too bad noone realized a working "G-Compression" yet (Geometry/Triangle compression).

Tesselation like N-Patches or Truform, done as a Driver hack to melt (reduce) adjacent Triangles during Triangle setup (before being sent to the Card to render), would be a blast

Sort of a Geometry LOD Bias setting
