Hi...
Well, this is a knowed problem in Warcraft 3 using banshee cards and is caused for the size of the textures (a bit large for banshee). Currently, I'm working in a fix for this game, in opengl mode using mesafx and his new impressive feature called MAXLOD (yes, warcraft 3 runs in opengl too).

Hi!, thanks for answer my question, well, I'm using Banshee Evolution Drivers, by Banshee Team, and with the "video test" of Warcraft III, I can run it in DX mode (60fps, 800*600) and Open GL mode(150 frame per second, 800*600), in the game I don't know how to change between this modes, I'd Like to play the game with OpenGL but i don't know how.
So... is for the large of the textures, thanks Raziel, I guess i need to waith for the fix for this game (the game is amazing!).
I thought that the problem was for the multitexturing... I guess i was wrong.[:(]
Well thanks anyway.

See you.

Specs:
AMD K6-2 450 Mhz 3D Now!
128Mb Ram
Teppro Voodoo Banshee PCI(100mhz clock, 120 mhz memory) with Banshee Evolution Dirvers
Sound Blaster PCI 128
Windows XP SP1 Spanish Version.

Thx to you...
Well, the fix is not ready yet, but you can test the opengl mode anyway...
I simple, you only need to add "-opengl" in the link.
Ex: "C:\Warcraft III\Warcraft III.exe" -opengl

Hi!, thanks for the tip about run it with OpenGl, I try to use this mode, and... is ironic 'cause now I can see the commands (move, patrol, and the others) y can see the little face of the heros... but the the game (I mean: all the 3D graphics like the textures of the map or the all the units of the humans, orcs, and the others) have problems and sees horrible, I don't understand the reasons, is upside-down than DX. And the frame rate is down. [:(]
I'm starting thinking that really I don't understand anything of this...[V]
Anyway, thanks Raziel for the tips and for creating the drivers (and thanks to the others guys to, of course).
See you.

Alex

Hola, amigos!

I tried "War3 -opengl" this morning on my Napalm, disabling one TMU, with FX_GLIDE_NUM_TMU=1. The menu indeed looks horrible. [:(]
