Title: The Most superb 3dfx Screenshot Contest.
Post by: roflkopp on 23 August 2005, 21:25:01
Yeah! Post your screenshots! :D rulez:

x) JPG Quality min 80% (freehost@ www.imageshack.us or www.imagehigh.com)
x) scene has to be in playable fps (~20)

suggestions:

x) use 3dfx driver screenshotfunction for glide/opengl games
x) use HyperSnap for DX Games.
x) fps should be displayed: (www.fraps.com)

I start with GTR Demo 1, Medium Details, 1024x768x16, 2xAA, LOD-0.75 (captured with printkey on a Voodoo5 5500 PCI):

He, cool idea.

Here my contribution. Unreal Tournament with 1600x1200 and 8XAA,
pretty much the maximum a VooDoo 5 6000 can deliver. No FRAPS,
however the ingame FPS counter is running. Pretty old screenshot
by now.

And not forget the classical Quake 3 "screenshot" I made in 2048x1536.
All thanks to Dborca for this one. For puting back "insane resolution"
to MESAFX. Its not really a screenshot but still a nice picture. :)

How did you start the game? It says me it needs at least 32 MB free video memory. I have Voodoo 5 AGP.

Very strange. I don't get any error messages. But maybe GTR is a little bit confused about my Geforce 6800GT which is also built in.

Look here :
http://rapidshare.de/files/8316531/g400techdemo.zip.html
The page is in german, just scroll a bit down and click "Download-Type : FREE".
A new page opens, scroll down, wait 30 sec and click the download link.
The demo is ca. 34MB.

BTW, by adding the following line into matrox.cfg the demo will run on any card :
i_promise_i_will_go_buy_a_matrox_g400

Its not the Intro, but the level "Nali Castle", Only the intro has a reflecting surface which brings errors if it has to reflect the sky (limitiation of engine). The camera path of the intro cleverly hides the limitation. :)

here StarWars Racer on Velocity 200 AGP 16MB Rev.A0 2699 useing the original 3dfx refrence drivers for Velocity 100/200:

Sys:
AMD K6-2 500Mhz @ 550Mhz
EPoX EP-MVP3G2 Ver 1.2
288MB PC-133 @ PC-100.

Here I made some 1024 x 768 x16 @ Glide max detail shots with FSAA x4 enabled with my Voodoo5 5500 AGP 64MB Rev.A 2500 on my AthlonXP 2700+ system.

and here without the HUD [Press F8 to remove HUD, press F8 again to bring it back]

The only thing is, that the pics are abit dark, dunno why this is because my game settings do use lot's more brightness, but the FSAA x4 is very well visible :P

setup:

AthlonXP 2700+
ASUS A7V333-R Rev.104
512MB PC-2700

Win2K Pro USA + SP4
AmigaMerlin 3.1 R11
