I just brought a pair of blue orb and fix it on my v5500 using termal pad.And the orb gets quite warm after 1hr of operation but whe i touch the back of the core,it is very hot and scource my hands is this ok? or the card is overheating?
It's only normal for the back of the card to get hot because it isn't cooled actively! It's not even cooled with a heatsink.
i mean the back of the vsa100,it is gets really hot and even hotter then my r9000pro and it scource my HANDS!!!

The back of the board is supposed to absorb about 50% of the heat from the die. The GND balls in the center of the package are directly under the die to extract the heat. The board itself becomes a heat sink.

50%!!!,isn't that amount of heat abit too much i replace the the hsf again with pentium cooler and the backside of the core is running hot,so how is it possible to extrate the heat away frm the back of core?If the backside continue to run tht hot will it cause harm to the card in long run?
Someone I know just placed two small copper plates on the back of the core with thermal adhesive and pasted heatsinks on those. (also with thermal adhesive)
I'm in the process of doing the same thing, I just need some small copper plates [:P]

i inntiately tried placing the stock cooling and place it on the back of the core,but i scrap the plan as the heatsink wasn't touching the backside of the core but those resistors around it,and i need help on this problem.How can i stick the heatsink on to the backside of the core.
You need some small copper plates which can fit between those resistors. You can attach them with fast-drying paste and thermal grease. Then you can paste the heatsink onto the copper plates.
The guy who I know who did this says it works fine. So I'm assuming you could also use thermal adhesive, if you're carefull.

Hmm, it only takes some time to cut the plates to the correct size and for the paste to dry. Unless you're using thermal paste, that takes a bit longer to dry.
I think you'd need about one to two hours to do it the way i described. You could do it before going to bed [:P]
Sawing a heatsink is done with a saw for iron. (kinda obvious if you think about it [:P])

Putting a cooler on the back is a good idea. With Banshee, it was running so hot, we were concidering putting a heat spreadder on the back. The current cooling on the production cards is sufficient to 50 deg C in the case. Yes, it wil get very hot, but the silicon temperatures are wthin spec.

My V3 1000 AGP become reallly hot too. All the card become hot after approx 30 mins. the default heatsink on it don't seems really effective would it be a great idea to put a fan instead of the heatsink and put this one on the back?
The limit on the junction temp is 125 deg C. The plastic case, the top of the chip, then can reach about 80 deg C, damn hot :).
