I have used sharex for almost two years now, and it's a fantastic program. But can be a bit annoying when it keeps masking for updates, cant turn it off or make it automatically install them.

Modding and overclocking / 3dfx mod case
06 November 2015, 20:18:47
Found this old empty server case in my garage (have a lot of old stuff in there i forget i had). So i thought i should do somthing awesome to it!

Before modding:

So i decided to paint it with creme radiator lack, add some extra air holes and ofcourse a 3dfx logo!
The setup are gonna be a "compact 1998 dream build".

The specs should look like this when im finish:

Gigabyte GA-6BA
4 x 128MB 100mhz SDRAM
Pentium II 450 + Thermaltake fan
ELSA Riva TNT (For 2D graphics)
Quantum3D 200SBi (For 3D graphics)
2 x 4,2Gb Quantum SE harddrives.

It's a really nice motherboard, it's hard to find motherboards wich have ISA these days.

Btw i have a ASUS Essence STX2 pci-e soundcard, and i can only recommend it. it's many many times better than onboard soundcards. Have many more details than the ASUS X79 DELUXE onboard sound. its really nice to have a soundcard with phono, as thers no need of adapters.

I'm using a old Sansui AU-D9 aplifer.

Ha ha XD you are crazy dude,  liquid cooling for those old cpu's XD ha ha. Nice looking IDE cables, and damm those red sleeved power cables are hot. Bring it to LAN and people will get big eyes, even if maybe most of them just think its a dual xeon setup XD
But i personally think that the sata controller isnt home in it, you should maybe go for scsi instead, but i guess that you maybe allready have planned to change it, also still wonder what for a part you was waiting to get home :)

I also got a pc with serius watercoolong, but it aint from that age XD Here is a facebook video a guy uploaded of my pc to  a LAN Party.

I allready have all that stuff, except the coolermaster case and the 650w antec psu, but i got a lot of other retro and cool cases and psu's, and even homemade cases.

I see that you are thinking the pentium III way, I have a lot of  old p3 hardware think about 7 dual slot 1 motherboards and two dual socket 370 boards.
As soon as i make a powersupply for the 8264 i just got home, then will i ofcourse also have dual p3 1ghz, but i find it cooler to run p3 1ghz in slot 1 than in socket 370. Just think that the socket way is too boring and the slot 1 way is way more cooler.

If you can do it the slot 1 way will it be nice looking. :) i also got a voodoo 4500, i think it's an 64mb and it's with 3dfx fan. And for everything in the world, keep us updated with your nice project! cool seeing people still find it fun to build old hardware in modern cases.

My goal is to get a project with four P III Xeon 1ghz cpu's, but it's hard to find a "regular" ATX motherboard which can be mounted in my cases. It will look cool in with my Q3D aalchemy 8264 in it. But it wont be a monster since the card only have huge preformance increase with antialiasing, else do i guess the card perform like my voodoo 4500. Have to do some benchmarks wehn i get it up and running.

Aw! I was hoping that the black referance design could start to be titan serie only, now when they gray design now both are for normal and titan cards. I got a Titan X, wow its black, its special! But no :(

Will it support glide? :P Its nice so see the game raise up! Looks awesome. Hornestly did i think it was space-engineers wehn i first saw it XD
#14
Love that they named support for Glide XD lol. Call me a day that have a program wich actually can take screenshots of blyrays, have bought the newest version of "Power DVD" cuz i knew it older versions could take screenshots of DVD's.... But no, it cant handle Blueray screenshots.

Sounds promesing, i bet Titan X can handle it on my CRT (wich isnt 4k ofcourse, but 1600x1200.
Now wehn it only run 60fps should i maybe buy a new monitor for gaming.
