sadly I did not, I was hoping that someone else would have already tried it,
also unfortunately for my country it usually takes 2 months+ for stuff from aliexpress to arrive, I see some buyers comments there, but they are poorly translated and I don't see anyone mentioning testing it at 66MHz or with video cards.

I finally tried SFFT's hint to use Win 10 32bit. Unfortunately it behaves like 64bit. The driver (SFFT or Amigamerlin) can be installed, but afterwards the device manager says "Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware".

It's a little sad we can't use the most powerful 3dfx cards under Windows 10, especially because the Voodoo 2 works. I documented my experiments here:

https://robertkrau.se/posts/3dfx-voodoo-2-with-windows-10
https://robertkrau.se/posts/3dfx-voodoo-2-sli-with-windows-10

Any ideas or driver modifications I could try? I would love to have a way how we can enjoy Voodoos without depending on legacy hardware (except the Voodoos of course).

As for PCI-e adapters, I tried a few different models. Only the ones with the PLX PEX8112 chip seem to work. Beware of the adapters you can see here, the do not seem to support graphic cards.

Does the Voodoo 5 PCI with the PCIe adapter work with Windows 98? I know on a software level PCIe is the same as PCI - PCI config space registers, bus-dev-func addresing scheme, etc. - curious if this is the case.

Hello everyone, this is my first post and I am new to the forum therefore I trust in your understanding of my limitations :)

I found this topic by chance and as a 3dfx resurrector I would love to use a Voodoo 5500 in a WinXP build and hope you could help me with that.

First of all, this is my motherboard:

K8NF4G-SATA2 (http://www.asrock.com/MB/NVIDIA/K8NF4G-SATA2/)

Socket 754 for AMD Athlon™ 64 and Sempron processors
NVIDIA® GeForce 6100 chipset
NVIDIA® nForce 410 MCP chipset
Chipset capable to FSB 1000 MHz (2.0 GT/s), Hyper-Transport Technology, AMD Cool 'n' Quiet Technology
Integrated NV44 graphics DX9.0 VGA, Pixel Shader 3.0, Max. shared memory 128MB
Supports DDR400, 2 DIMMs slots
Hybrid Booster - ASRock Safe Overclocking Technology

PCI Express x16 slot for VGA interface
PCI Express x1 slot

2 ports of SATA2 3.0Gb/s, RAID 0, 1, JBOD, 2 ATA133 IDE ports
7.1 Channel Superior Quality Audio, 10/100 Ethernet LAN
ASRock 8CH I/O: 4 ready-to-use USB 2.0 ports, 7.1 channel audio jack

In order to get best results, which model / version of a Voodoo 5500 and consequent adapter should I exactly look for?

Of course please ask any further detail if needed, thanks a lot for any help.

the pcix adapter i test were all ok, i did not notice any performance drop between them. The model i used you can find in my older posts.
post some pictures with your setup !
