haha, nope. i predicted it: a standstill that last forever. mine still site without the front panel finished. the system inside is fully functional, but it's just sitting in a box. i lost my job and am now moving to Long Island, so it'll be in storage for a while.

never finished the UT2K4 case mod either, it's just sitting there waiting for my lazy ass to send it out for paint.

if you can't dig it up PS47, let me know. i'm pretty sure i've got a copy of it squirrelled away somewhere.

The next step will be to find out witch chipset agree this overvoltage ! ( i bet that nforce3 chipset will agree this )
i've got an epox 8kda3+ board with the nforce3 250GB chipset running my v4 and i do not see this voltage available, though there may be a modded bios that provides it.

i'm guessing with a heatgun or hot air solder station. i'm pretty good with an iron, but even i would cringe at the prospects of doing that 1 pin at a time.

am i missing something or would the easiest way to make this mod be to desolder the keyed agp connector from the motherboard and resolder a non keyed connector from an older motherboard???

thanks, and GREAT work to keep the voodoos on modern platforms.

i figured as much, but my puppy had distracted me and i didn't see the switch.

i missed a bit in the middle. but was that 6k running Q4???

ok, so i'm not really finished, but i got the case done except the front panel. the sliding door on the front is making things difficult, i might have to switch it for one without the sliding panel. anyway, i thought i'l post what i have done, since i'm at a standstill and those seem to last forever with my cases.

crap in a hat if i can find it. i did try looking for it a while back, but with no success.

if i ever do find it again, i'll be sure to post it here. till then, the search continues, but for all i know it could've been photoshopped out.

i saw somewhere a picture of a dual opteron board that had an agp pro slot. there were no keys that would have prohibited the physical insertion of a 3.3v agp2x device. i'm not certain if it would support the signalling or not.

you get anywhere with this radu?

google "3dfx applique" and you'll find the link to the guy who made his server box to show off.

i'm in the process of one now. waiting on the board to arrive, and then it is paint time.

i'll post when i'm finished.

Voodoo3 and Velocity Discussions / supertek V3

Rolo01,

in your case, the shipping to germany would probably be the most significant cost. i don't recall the specific details, but it came from somewhere over in europe to begin with. i'd only want about what i paid for it. sadly it is not boxed.

if you can get me a specific address i'll know what shipping is and can get you a final cost.

LMK,

don

the mobile chips should work in any motherboard supporting socket a processors. i've successfully used mobile chips in chipsets as old as the kt133a, which netted me 2.5 ghz on a board never meant to go beyond 1.7

if the board has overclocking options, you should be fine. i think that board does. if not, or if the options are limited, you may have to resort to pin modding.

but, yes, a mobile will significantly boost your platform. keep everything synchronous on the kt333 platform and you'll appreciate the results.
