25.10.2005   NVIDIA GPUs Selected Top-to-Bottom for New Power Mac G5 Lineup

SANTA CLARA, CA—OCTOBER 25, 2005-NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the worldwide leader in programmable graphics processor technologies, today announced that the Company is the exclusive provider of all graphics cards offered on the first PCI Express platform from Apple. The NVIDIA–powered Apple Power Mac G5 platform can drive an incredible amount of screen real estate, providing four expansion slots that can support multiple graphics cards to drive an array of up to eight displays.

“Apple’s record of innovation and performance has made the Power Mac a preferred choice of creative professionals,” said Jeff Fisher, executive vice president of worldwide sales at NVIDIA. “NVIDIA GPUs are top-to-bottom in the new Power Mac G5 line-up because each offers top performance and an advanced feature set, which are hallmarks of the Power Mac platform.”

NVIDIA’s top-to-bottom offerings in the new Power Mac G5 include:

• The NVIDIA GeForce 6600 LE with 128MB of video memory as the standard offering in all Power Mac G5 systems.

• The NVIDIA GeForce 6660 with 256MB of video memory as a build-to-order option.

• The NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT with 256MB of video memory as a build-to-order option.

• The NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 with 512MB of video memory as a build-to-order option.

NVIDIA GeForce 6600 LE, NVIDIA GeForce 6660, and GeForce 7800 GT GPUs each provide support for dual-displays or a 30-inch Apple Cinema HD Display. The NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 can drive up to two 30-inch Apple Cinema HD Displays and includes other professional user features, such as a port to connect 3D goggles for stereo-in-a-window applications.

The GeForce 6600 will also be offered on the Apple Store as a field-upgradeable option.
