Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, GIGABYTE ha annunciato la nuova video card di fascia medio-alta GeForce GTX 460 Super Overclock Edition (il part number del prodotto č GV-N460SO-1GI).
La nuova soluzione del ben noto board maker č, in accordo alla denominazione, una scheda grafica marcatamente "overclocked by default": rispetto alla implementazione reference, infatti, che prevede i valori di 675MHz, 1350MHz e 3600MHz per le frequeunze di clock del core grafico, delle unitŕ shader e della memoria on board (1GB di G-DDDR5), la GeForce GTX 460 Super Overclock Edition vanta rispettivamente 815MHz core, 1630MHz e 4000MHz.
La stabilizzazione delle prestazioni č ottenuta con l'ausilio di un cooler basato sulla tecnologia proprietaria WINDFORCE, che promette di coniugare due esigenze contrapposte, come l'efficienza della dissipazione e la ridotta rumorositŕ, e di uno stadio di alimentazione realizzato con un circuito PWM a 6 + 1 fasi (6 sono dedicate alla gpu e una alla memoria RAM).
Tra le altre feature della card, a proposito della quale GIGABYTE non ha indicato nč la data di commercializzazione e nč il prezzo, citiamo il supporto delle tecnologie proprietarie Ultra Durable VGA+, OC Guru – Graphic Card Smart Tuner e Voltage Read Point.

GIGABYTE introduces WINDFORCE, the latest cooling technology that differentiates the brand’s graphics cards from the rest. GIGABYTE understands that a fan is crucial to the graphics card, so only the fan with the most efficiency is selected for WINDFORCE. To qualify for WINDFORCE, the cooling solution must be equipped with anti-turbulence inclined-fin, ultra quiet PWM fan and pure copper heat pipe. GIGABYTE Ultra Durable VGA+’s 1 proadlizer on GV-N460SO-1GI graphics cards is able to provide purer power supply compared to traditional power design (zero proadlizers).
One of the quality components of Ultra Durable VGA+ is GIGABYTE’s exclusive use of proadlizers.
