World's first PCI Express x1 graphics card featuring productivity-enhancing DualHead support for PCI Express PCs


Montreal, Canada, July 13th, 2005 - Matrox Graphics, the leading manufacturer of professional graphics solutions, announces Matrox Millennium G550 PCIe, the world's first PCI Express x1 graphics card, bringing advanced dual-display functionality to the financial, insurance, legal and general corporate use multi-display markets. Compatible with any compliant PCI Express slot due to its distinctive x1 design, this graphics card essentially doubles your desktop workspace by allowing output to a second digital or analog display, dramatically enhancing workflow and productivity.

The Millennium G550 PCIe is supported by unified and WHQL-certified drivers that offer Matrox legendary stability and that deliver Matrox renowned, crystal-clear image quality. With the use of Matrox PowerDesk SE, a window management suite utility incorporated in the drivers, a financial or enterprise professional has the freedom to change display settings or access Matrox features effortlessly.
