GIGABYTE Technology ha lanciato al COMPUTEX di Taipei la motherboard high-end siglata GA-EX58Q-EXTREME. Si tratta di una soluzione progettata per la realizzazione di piattaforme Intel Core i7 particolarmente tolleranti all'operatività in overclocking. A tal fine il maker ha sovradimensionato lo stadio di alimentazione, che può vantare ben 24 fasi ed è in grado, in ultima analisi, di stabilizzare il funzionamento della motherboard anche nel caso di elevato assorbimento di potenza.
La qualità costruttiva della GA-EX58Q-EXTREME è garantita inoltre dal supporto della tecnologia proprietaria Ultra Durable 3, che garantisce l'equipaggiamento del PCB con componenti discreti al top, come i condensatori a stato solido "made in Japan", i MOSFET a bassa resistività e le bobine con nucleo in ferrite.
