=================================================

Thank you for downloading this demo.

==================
BEFORE WE START
==================
This demo was made with the initial retail version of Unreal
Tournament.

You must be running this initial retail version (v400) of Unreal
Tournament in order for this demo to play. A caution - future
patch(es) for UT may break this demo.

======================
INSTALLING THE DEMO
======================
Included in this zip are :
1) readme.txt
You're reading it now.
2) "Wicked400.dem" file
The actual demo file

Since you're reading this, that means you have extracted
this zip to somewhere on your harddrive. Copy (2) to your
\system\ sub-folder in your Unreal Tournament directory
(eg. C:\Unreal Tournament\system\). You may archive this
readme.txt file if you want to for reference.

===================
RUNNING THE DEMO
===================
There are a few specific settings in Unreal Tournament that
must remain identical on different systems in order to obtain
a valid comparative timedemo score. Don't ask me why the
following must be adhered to - I didn't write the codes. As such,
if you want to compare your scores to those of mine as stated
further down this readme, please ensure you follow exactly the
following :

1) Load up Unreal Tournament
2) Click on "Tools" and check "Timedemo Statistic"
(this will give you a real-time framerate readout)
3) Click on "Options" and set the "Min Desired Framerate" field
to "0". This will ensure the absolute speed test of your system.
Any other figure will distort - and result in different scores with
each different "Min Desired Framerate" figure - the actual score.
4) Choose "Game\Start a Practice Session" and simply
load up anything you want
(all this means is that you need to be in a map first before
proceeding further)
5) Once, you're in a map, you'll be prompted by UT to
click/press your Fire key to start. There's no need to do that
to play my demo. Just bring down the console (press the
"~" key) and type :

demoplay wicked400

...and press your keyboard's "Enter" key followed by the
"~" key again.
6) On loading, the "Wicked400" demo will play as fast as your
system can manage
7) Once the demo ends and you're at the black Unreal screen,
press the "~" key. The last line in that little window would give you
frames rendered, the time it took, minimum, maximum and the final
average framerate.
Just make sure the number of frames rendered is 2407.

**NOTE**
You may experience crashes if you try to run the demo more than
once within the same game session (especially so if you change
resolutions within that same game session). In order to avoid this,
in step (4) above, you might want to actually start a practice session
before typing in the "demoplay wicked400" in the console.
