Now we are talking revision numbers.
I've been loking at my "Voodoo4 4500 AGP" instead.
It look's like it have a revision numbers there's are very high.
3300 RevA0 with toshiba-ram.
Is it rare, or just the most normal of the V4??
Original it have a bios 1.15

Well not really, my Voodoo4 4500 AGP 32MB is also a Rev 3300 A0

and my Voodoo4 4500 PCI 32MB is a Rev 3700 A :)

Why are the revnumbers so high, well it is because the Voodoo4 4500 series came out later than the Voodoo5 5500 series ;) the 4500's are newer than the 5500 series, that is about it. and yeah the Voodoo5 5000, 6000, 5500 AGP x4 and AGP x4 with DVI were built at the same time when the Voodoo4 4500 series were released, the daytona cards cam out evern later just before Rampage, thety are the Voodoo4 Hibryds with DVI, TV-Out and DDR memory.:D Man I would love to have one of those, like everyone else around here [^]

Obi-wan, notice on your 3300 that there are spaces for more ram. Perhaps 3dfx planned a 64mb V4?

Well you maybe right there mate!, but uhm, the prototype of the V4 4500 has all mem banks filled, so I guess this was a cheaper way of produceing V4 4500's, wel I may be mistaken.

Sorry about my bad spelling, I just came back from the disco LOL :D :D :D

P.S. Oh man 8 times zamboeka and 7 times beer,  wow that is 1337!!!!! Whaa zaaaaa!!!! [:p][:p][:p] Party Party Party dudes!!!

hmm...okay, I'm a new collector of 3dfx-cards, and looking a lot at ebay, to get some of these cards i didn't have. Are these 3300 Voodoo5-s produced, or are they just a kind of beta-card. I mean is it possible to find them in the real world?? Another thing. The aavid-fans. sometimes I see  them, with a 3dfx-sticker instead. Did it say somthing about the voodoo-card??

well the pictures of my Rev3300 A0 is not a Voodoo5 it is a Voodoo4 4500 AGP 32MB Rev 3300 A0.

The difference between Voodoo4 4500 and Voodoo5 5500 are easy to spot, yourself, unless you didn't know this yet. Though I do see them in you collection in your Sig everytime![:o)]

Voodoo4's always have 1 VPU on them and Voodoo5's always 2 to 4 VPU's on them.

so count the amount of Aavid fans and your on the right track.

and if there is a 3dfx sticker instead of a Aavid sticker on the fan, I think the ones with 3dfx stickers have newer fans, doesn't mean that they are rare at all, even my two Voodoo 4 4500's , 4500 AGP Rev3300 A0 and 4500 PCI Rev3700 A even these two aren't so rare. but they are a must for every 3dfx fan around here. I'll be haveing another nice Voodoo4 4500 to my collection , and it is this one:

This is gonna be number 26 of my 3Dfx/3dfx Voodoo collection!!!

Ahh....the mac-edition.. :-o
There are some other pictures of the Voodoo5 5500 rev A1/A2 3300 in this forum. It has AGP 4x and it's seems like, it's a litle shorter than the normal Voodoo5 5500. I just hoped to find out, if this version are realy rare (a kind of beta-card). Or it had been i serial-production??

I think that it was produced as a later revision of the V5, and probably sold in the same box as every other V5, although perhaps something mentioned something about the DVI on the box, or perhaps DVIs were added afterwards by devoted owners. It's such a shame that 3dfx went under when they did, we will never know entirely what they planned to do next.

I wannawonder who has them now, would like to have one of those, wouldn't you [?]:D

And would the performance be so much better thand the original AGP x2 version we all have nowadays.
And will it perform much better than the 5500 PCI Rev 2900 A1's of today too?

At first I though that you had one of these but you have of course the most beautiful 3dfx card ever:
3dfx Voodoo5 5000 AGP 32MB Rev 3300 A0:

and to have this one also would make you Voodoo5 5000 collection very complete :):

I don't think, that there are a big pormformance-hit with the AGP-4x-Voodoo5-5500. I think they try to made this version, course of intel's Pentium4-chipset (with AGP-4x-only).

Hey Obi-Wan,
the V5-5000 in your first pic in my card. I will have a look at the rev number this evening.
I only sent the pic to sloomy because I have no own web space.
