I am trying to help someone install the AmigaMerlin v2.5se drivers on her WinXP system with a Voodoo3 1000 installed. She gets this error message when trying to install the drivers:
quote:
Failure!
Conflicting .inf and .ini files:[0xd]
Failure! The data is invalid.

That's the first one I get. The second one is:

Error, Subsystem vendor ID:
PCI/VEN_121A&DEV_0005&SUBSYS_104D121A&REV_01
is not listed in
C:\am25sexp\driver2k\3dfxvs2k.inf
Please update the C:\am25sexp\driver2k\3dfxvs2k.inf file so install can procede.

Not sure what is going on, but is the Voodoo3 1000 even compatible with these drivers? It seems that the card isn't in the .inf file. Don't know how to proceed now, so I thought I'd ask at the source.

~Thanks - fedaykin.

Hello !

Well, I think you should open file 3dfxvs2k.inf and add PCI/VEN_121A&DEV_0005&SUBSYS_104D121A&REV_01 to the list and save changes. After that, install should procede.

Regards

Thanks for the info. In the end she just used the standard XP driver, because she wasn't interested in gaming, etc. Go figure.
