Sorry about the bad links.

Had a re-shuffle of my webspace and the link had to go.

It's a real shame you can't edit your post here.

Anyway, you can grab my verified working BIOS file from here! (flash tools included)

Hi all! I have 2 Voodoo 5 5500 PCI. One  PC, and one for MAC. So, i flashed BIOS for MAC version. Syastem boots up, drivers has succesfuly installed, Direct 3D works fine, glise works fine, but in OpenGL system hangs up.... :-( When i installing V5 for PC all is fine and no system hang up...
What is it? Please, help!

Check your MAC card's BIOS version - this topic seems to indicate that there are a few different versions around!

I personally use the one that rol0 sent me which is version 1.18 (I think thats the same one Trigger is using too).

p.s.  My MAC PCI card works fine with openGL using the WinXP AmigaMerlin v3.1 R11 driver.

Yeah....... I wasn't kidding when I said "Exorcise"!
That's some pretty Spooky Crap going on right there! [:0]

All I can suggest is trying different MAC bios files until OpenGL works. Ask around for fully working (Glide/DirectX/OpenGL) MAC bios dumps.

Also try different drivers and make sure each set of drivers you use are clean from previous ones. I use Norton Ghost on my PC for this - maybe MAC users have something similar. I find it's the best "and most harsh" way of being dead certain when eliminating possible causes. I always work from fresh installs when troubleshooting serious problems.

I hope it's just a driver or BIOS issue! All the best!

Also, have you tried using an OpenGL driver like Mesa 6.1?

I have an old G3-300Mhz ( if successfull I will upgrade to 1.1GHZ G4) that I want to upgrade to a low-end video station. It's got 756MB of memory and currently an 80GB IDE hard drive, it will also support a SCSI drive (I was thinking an 80GB LVD with 50pin SCSI adapter)

Anyways, if I find a PC Voodoo 5500, how do I flash it to Mac BIOS? It's the best card available for PCI Mac, and it would make the unit even a decent gaming system (with the 1.1GHz G4)
