Another SLI problem...

Hi there.
I recently got a second Voodoo 2 + SLI cable and tried to install it in my computer (PII 350, 320MB RAM, Win 98 SE).
First I tried it with the standard 3dfx drivers. Didn't work until I installed the mismatched V2-patch, then the "System info" panel said: "Scanline Interleave: Detected!" and gave me the values for Frame Buffer Memory (8MB) and Total Texture Memory (16MB). Tried to start my favourite game (GPL) and got a black monitor, until I checked the "disable SLI"-button. Then it worked again, but only on one of the Voodoos I think.
Then I uninstalled all drivers and installed the FastVoodoo2 4.6.
Again, "SLI: detected!", but now with 4MB Frame Buffer and 8MB Texture memory only? These are the values for one of the cards...
Game works now, but no improvement in performance.
Does anybody know what I did wrong?
Thanks in advance!

there wont be a performance improvement, because your CPU is slow.it doesnt matter how much memory does the control panel show (mine shows only memory of one voodoo2 as well),as long as you can use the 1024*768 resolution,SLI works..
