Hello. I only want to say i have located an very rare and unique 2D Driver for Windows 3.1 and Windows for Workgroups 3.11!!
I think, it's an driver, that have 3dfx made in 1999 for compaq to use velocity 100/200 cards.
An 3dfx voodoo 3-3000 PCI is tested well with this driver.
This driver supports 256, 32K, 64k and 16M Colors and DCI video-acceleration.
I don't know if this driver works on a V3-3500 or Banshee Card.
Please let me know by your testing results.

Issues: The compaq 3dfx control panel nothing apply the changed refresh-rate settings on crt-displays.
So i have created an new zip-archive with unirefresh and vbehz included to can change the refreshrate via dos before running win3.1x.
(the same way by using the 256 SVGA Patch for PCI and AGP Cards without drivers for Win3.1x,
but only 256 colours, not so stable and without DCI acceleration).

With this way under dos is apply the refreshrate in win3.1x too.
At this time we (users of the german http://www.winhistory-forum.net) have no another way found, but it works.
An other way is using an tft display.

Here's the upload:
http://up.myblackbox.net/3dfx_Voodoo3_Win31x.zip

The control panel with basic wfw3.11..
The driver shows an velocity card but inside works an v3-3000 card.

..or with the better look and useable calmira shell enhancement for Win3.1x..

btw:

My German Language MS-DOS 6.22/WfW3.11 Upgrade Project Thread
In future i have planed my WfW3.11 projekt foward with my 3dfx Voodoo 3-3000 Card - in multiple boot option configuration with other operating systems too.

Greetings

Update:
This win3.1x driver is now available too on http://www.falconfly.de/voodoo3.htm
Credits go to FalconFly.

btw:

Here's 3 short *.3gp videos in 640x480 from my optimized amd5x86-133 Socket 3 PC with Voodoo1 (Voodoo Graphics) Card..
Edit: 640x480 Url's removed, because there are deleted on the upload server..

Or in smaller file size converted 320x240 *.wmv:

Under win98se - WinGlide:
http://up.myblackbox.net/3dfxVoodoo_Atom_X5_WinGlide.wmv
http://up.myblackbox.net/3dfxVoodoo_Racing_X5_WinGlide.wmv

Games, there runs fine with my bios tuned (the amd 5x86 allows shorter stable chipset timings as an Intel dx4 and 486 cpu's before)
+ full L1+L2 7Bits write back full cacheable strategy for many memory speed improvements 486-133 and voodoo1 pc under win32:
(Win98, Win98SE are the better base for 3D and have the better included Soundblaster 16 Isa driver as Win95B and Win95C)

Descent 1 (Glide)
Kalisto Ultimate Race Pro (Glide)
MS Monster Truck Madness 2 (Glide)
MS Cart Precision Racing (Glide)
Andretti Racing (Glide)
Nfs II SE (Glide)
Nfs III with lower graphic settings (Glide)
Pod (Glide)
Ubisoft Racing Simulation 1 (Glide)
Subculture (Glide)
Turok 1 (Glide)
Redline Racer (Glide)
Doom1+Doom2 (Opengl)
GlQuake (Opengl)
Hexengl (Opengl)
Hereticgl (Opengl)
Trongl (Opengl)
Autobahn Raser 1 (D3D)
Tomb Raider 2 (D3D)
Motoracer 1 (D3D)
Forsaken (D3D)
Kyodai Mahjong 18.42 with DirectX 7 3d option (D3D)

Under ms-dos 6.22 - DosGlide:
http://up.myblackbox.net/3dfxVoodoo_Gods-Dimension_DosGlide.wmv

Games, there are running under dos with dosglide 3d acceleration:

Tomb Raider 1
Tomb Raider 1 - Unfinished Business
Screamer Rally (Bleifuss Rally)
Screamer 2 (Bleifuss 2)
Shadow Warrior
Blood
Fatal Racing
Nascar Racing 2
Nascar Racing 1999
Descent 2

Games under ms-dos 6.22 uses the glide.ovl library in combination with self created glide environment variables batch files.

Games under win9x use the last 99' V1 driver with installed directX 7a for using the glide, opengl and d3d driver library.

Games under windows nt 4.0 uses the last q3a nt driver with glide and opengl support.

Now i think - 640x480 fullscreen 16Bit 3d rendering is very awesome for an pc from the 486 generation. ;)

i had tested an voodoo2 card before in this pc and games like nfs III, tomb raider III and toca2 has run faster, but not all dosglide games runs with the voodoo2.

The voodoo1 is in summary the better card for this pc.
