hum, "a hoax/driver-mixing-team" i don't know but if the driver works, so this is a good thing

seems to me that all the drivers are (i think and i hope) compatible with DirX9 or 8, because these Api's are backwards compatible (in theory), in this case a game (by e.g) can run with some visual defects... the problem can be if some games depend of a driver having support for a DirX feature...

Do you have made some performance test? Which is your impression?

Tnx for signaling, however...

qrazi

hehe... well, i posted the performance test on the voodooalert forums, but i think i have to do them again.... directx diagnosis failed, so i guess i'm having the same problem with installing as with the 3dhq beta drivers.
will do it again this afternoon.

if a game requires a specific feautures, a driver can ignore or software emulate it right? like 3d-analyzer?

right with 3D Analyzer (like the T@L) but this utility must support the feature and i think that it can't all realize
i tested MS Rally Sport Challenge (needed 3D Analyzer because of T@L) but trust me, this was really hard because the drivers tried were not "appropriate"

I don't think they are new drivers. They look like a re-mix of the 3Dhq drivers with kooksmoky's glide files. Those driver files are on voodoofiles.com too.

Actually, those drivers are older than I thought, even though some of the files are marked year 2008.

lo, Arch, 2003 would sound better. ;) But driverwise, untill Amiga's new drivers come out, I'd say stick with the 3dhq Beta 10's. :)
