Salute all:
I have set up a machine with Win2k,AMD Athlon xp2600,Radeon 9200se,2 V2's sli together. Now when i start RB3d I get message "you are using old drivers" I have installed Fast voodoo2 40-xp,win2k and I see two listed when i look at hardwear profile. However when I look at display properties and advanced I see the 3dfx V2-1000 listed not fast voodoo? I am haviving very poor performance frame rates? Any ideas?

I would try the latest official drivers from 3dfx first,the 3dfx Voodoo2 V1.02.00 driver from here: http://www.falconfly.de/voodoo2.htm

and I think RB needs the texture memory limit option enabled to work properly..

Hello: I am still trying to get my pc to work with 2 V2's SLI so to play Red Baron3D. Heres what I have found so far?
System was upgraded with new hard drive from win98 to Win2k
AMD Athlon XP2600+  2.2Ghz
256 ram
Radeon 9200SE (128MB)
Shuttle main board AK38/N
DirectX ver-9.0c
2 V2's (12mb)
3DFXzone.it FastVoodoo2 4.0 XP Gold edition

I know the system does not see SLI because I cannot get 1024/768 resolution and FPS are terrible. In Dxdiag it lists only one display (Radeon). It does not see the V2's as it used to with win98 and Ditctx 8.0 so I do know the cards are good!
In device mngr/systems hardware it does list 2  fast voodoo2 4.0 gold under sound and video? Could this be a Directx 9.0c problem or a win2k problem?
Thanks

are you running matched cards? dx9c is not an issue,I'm running it on all my voodoo systems and never had problems with it.dxdiag will not show your v2s like it used to under win9x,this is normal and perfectly ok..anyway,go here and double check if you have installed everything correctly, and if you did,try the radeon compatible glides and see if that helps..

Thanks for the reply PS47: Yes they are matched cards. Glad to here it is not a directx problem and that it is ok to not see the card in dxdiag. I am going to do a clean up of the Registry and my computer from previous display drivers of all 3dfx stuff and then try a clean istall of the drivers. It must be a driver issue now and a SLI software problem cause I think I have eliminated the other possibilities such as hardware and the Red Baron 3D game software.

OK Gang!! I got it all to work!! Thanks again for all your help and this forum!!! I had to clean my regedit and uninstall the cards. Then restart, install drivers, shut down, reinstall hardware then manually uplaod drivers!! Funny thing though? With one V2 installed I had highest res setting and after installing second V2 in SLI? Well didn't seem to do much? But I'm happy and aint gonna mess with it!
