I love my voodoo 3 2000(8MB)!!!!!!!!:)
It can plays a large numburs of good games!!!!!!
I almost can play all the games before 2004!!!!!;)
My operating system:
Windows ME
CPU:Pentium III 500Mhz
RAM:128 RAM
Video card:
Voodoo 3 2000(8MB)
Driver:
Amigamerlin  2.9
DirectX 9.0c
MesaFX-5.1(the lastest version)

Can any body tell me,
Why I can play some of the games need 16MB VRAM or 32MB VRAM.
But some of the games only need 16MB VRAM,
but i can't play?

Well, perhaps a problem with the size of textures ?
A Voodoo 3 = 256*256 textures

Anyway, what games have problems ?

some games check for available memory more carefully,and if you dont have enough,they will exit.others dont care as much,and they will run,although good performance cannot be guaranteed..

I can play AOM, but i can't play Rise of nation!!!![]
I can play Jedi Academy,but i can't play GTA 3!!!![!]

Rise of Nations and GTA3 are known to have problems with any Voodoo3, so this is not related to your card.
Both games run very well on a V4, so you might consider an upgrade...

Too bad you can't add memory to the board... Or can you?
Some older motherboards with onboard video had memory slots where you could add video memory. Does your board have the ability to add memory?
