SW rescaling for D3D (voodoo3)?

would it be possible to have SW rescaling under D3D for the voodoo3?perhaps code it directly to some D3D core or maybe add this feature to 3danalyze?
some games that need SW rescaling use the D3D api and are unable to run under opengl (so I cant use mesafx and SW rescaling)..
