I tried several times to flash my new voodoo 5 5500 pci mac in dos and it would not recognize the card, and when it finally did my pc crashed while flashing it, so i reverted to flashing it in windows using a dos emulator (the one that comes w/ win i.e. command.com) and it worked first try like a snap, now it's the only card that i have in my pc and its great, i know ur supposed to flash things from dos, or u can fry them, but after 2 hours of nothing i had to try and it worked great, is this a bad thing?  well thanks for any feedback. Matt

p.s. I love this board

That only depends on the hardware you're flashing.

Flashing your motherboard's bios from windows is perfectly okay.
Flashing your secondary videocard which isn't active from windows should also be okay.

Just wouldn't recommend it with an active videocard :D

hmm, yeah, it sounds like you still have the mainboard bios set up for the agp card, so dos-based apps would have difficulty finding it under dos. But windows would recognize it as the only adapter there, and set it as the primary
