can somebody help me get driver support for the 4.5 linspire os? right
now there are no mesa drivers for this os any help in the right direction would be helpful.thank in advance:)

never heard of that distribution!
you need glidelibs (from anywhere you want eg www.sf.net/projects/glide)
put them into /usr/libs
then in xorg / xfree configuration file choose "tdfx" as driver (if not installed, get it from dri.sf.net) and add to xorg/xfree config load "glx" load "dri" (section modules) and remove the "#" at the bottom of the config file from section dri. restart x, done
if youre lucky your system will see a voodoo5, if not then just one vsa100 chip will work
