I'm going to perform a system cleanup and therefor I'm going to reinstall WinXP completely. I've got a voodoo2 card (Matrox Monster 3D) lying about and I would like to give it a go in my system just for the fun of it. I'm not realy familiar with 3D stuff like OpenGL and because of this I would like to know what the best thing would be what I should do.

The "FastVoodoo2 XP install procedure" topic states: "Remember that you must install before primary card driver and then FastVoodoo2 drivers." but as far as I know there are no voodoo2 drivers available for WinXP. Should I just install FastVoodoo2 XP only?
What other stuff should I do or install?

1)You install in first your main gfx card (the primary) and its driver
2) Then you install your Voodoo 2 (Diamond Monster 3D II) and its drivers (OpenGl and Glide) that you will find here :

If you have problems, post again. :)

1. Of course, stupid mistake of me, I didn't take the extra video card into account.
Would it be possible to change the orrigional text to more correct English which might avoid any other confusion?
"Remember that you must install before primary card driver and then FastVoodoo2 drivers."

Should be something like:

"Remember that you must install your primary video card driver before installing the FastVoodoo2 drivers for your voodoo2 card."

2. "Diamond Monster 3D II", again: stupid mistake, it has been a while since I've used the card because I wasn't able to install it properly in the past. This was because the lack of proper drivers. I recently discovered this site and the drivers it's providing. For those how created these drivers: thank you very much in advance! (if it turns out they work ;-) )

By the way, what about MesaFX? Should this be installed as well? Like I said earlier, I'm not realy familiar with all this stuff.

Also, I'm thinking of buying a new 3D card in the future (as soon as my bank account allows me to do so ;-) ). Because I've got a dual monitor setup at the moment (two separate video cards), will there be any advantages when I have a new 3d card and keep my second video card in with the voodoo2?

If you keep your Voodoo 2, you will be able to run Glide games or simply games written for the Voodoo 2.
