Hi gang!

i'm new here.  I usually seek help at voodoofiles.com  They are really good.  I installed XP on my computer and it installed its own drivers for my voodoo3 3000.  With these drivers I couldn't play F-16 multirole fighter.  It wouldn't detect any hardware acceleration.  I sought help at voodoofiles and they recomended amgiasport 3.0 the latest drivers for XP.  It worked to some extent, the game detects the 3D card as voodoo1/voodoo2 for some reason and it only allows 460x640 and 600x800 res.  Normally this game allowed up to 1200 pixels.  also in the video information in the game it doesn't show any supported resolutions where it used to.  Even when i set the res to 600x800 the game still starts in 460... Otherwize the drivers work fine.  3dfxtools allows me to select all the resolutions on monitor as long as i'm not playing f-16mrf.
I changed the monitor to plug and play but it did't do anything...

Can you please give me some advise?

I installed the full game on my machine : it runs without problem with a Voodoo5 under ME. In the options of the game, you can choose 640*480, 800*600 and 1024*768.
I see also in the video information :
"drivers card 3D : detected"
"state : activated"
"resolutions supported :"
"640 x 480 (with Z-Buffer)
800 x 600 (with Z-Buffer)
1024 x 768 (with Z-Buffer)"

ps : you can also disable the 3D card in the options, the game runs anyway.

Since the game is from 1998 and you're running under XP, i would try the "compatibility mode" under XP.

A question
QuoteEven when i set the res to 600x800 the game still starts in 460... Otherwize the drivers work fine. 3dfxtools allows me to select all the resolutions on monitor as long as i'm not playing f-16mrf
You set the resolution to 600*800 but where ? in the options of the game or in the 3dfx tools control panel ?
Quotethe game detects the 3D card as voodoo1/voodoo2 for some reason and it only allows 460x640 and 600x800 res
You're playing with a Voodoo 3 ??
