Greetings!

I was wandering - is it possible with the last (4.0) 2K/XP FastVoodoo2 drivers to join in SLI an 8MB and a 12MB Voodoo2 and expect the 1024x768 resolution to be available in the old games, e.g. Rayman 2?
Because the thing is I have two Magic 3D Voodoo2 cards 12MB but that's already working. Now my friend has got an 8MB V2 card, from Creative I think, and would like to play Rayman2 and perhaps some other games in 1024 on V2 SLI so I thought I'd give him my 3rd Voodoo2 card that is 12MB from I don't know exactly which vendor.
So in a lot less words:
FastVoodoo2 XP 4.0 + Voodoo2 8MB + Voodoo2 12MB (different vendors) = 1024x768 achievable? :)

Thank you.

Some help forum this is.
Hasn't anyone had 2 mismatched, mis-memory-matched Voodoo2's? [:0]

Hi sirkoz,

thank you a lot for your question; but I'm sorry: due to hardware reasons, your Voodoo 2 SLI setup - based on "mis-memory-matched" cards - will not work.

So you must look for another 12MB Voodoo2 (or 8MB Voodoo2) card: please note, however, FastVoodoo2 XP 4.0 doesn't support mismatched (manufacturer) SLI configurations so you could install another video driver.

Bye bye

8mb+12mb may,or may not work.if you are lucky and it runs,it will only run as 8mb+8mb (1024*768 should work ok)..try some mismatched drivers,like fastvoodoo2 4.6 :)

Thank you very much - both of you. :D
I thought if it works it might work as 8+8MB and I'm also glad 1024 might be accessible.
I'll report the results.

Just a quick reminder so it won't be percieved as though as I'm not posting results:
My friend has that dreaded 8MB V2 (and now also one of my 12MB V2's) so - when he'll test it out I will of course right away post results here. ;)
