I have a P4 2.8 Lga 775 / 512 RAM / Graphic card onboard INTEL 828656 and CREATIVE VOODOO 2 12M PCI.
WINDOWS XP PRO SP2 (FASTVOODOO2 4.0 XP GOLD EDITION)

I Think GTA VICE CITY AUTO DETECT VOODOO 2 12 cause i've minimized my onboard graphic to 1M ammount of RAM to simulate if GTA really works with onboard but i'm wrong it uses the voodoo2 graphic;)
The problem is when the game enter in full actions with much cops go chasing me the game frame rates try slow down.

Any sugestion if i use SLI Voodoo2 12M works great?

u saying you're using gta VC w/out SLI and it is giving high framerate while chased by many cops, and asking if implementing SLI will speed things up?
or are you saying that u're using SLI and the game still slows down?..

Well, for first, I believe that not only you will be able to play the game at 1024x768 res, thus you'll get higher framerates for certain situations (not sure which ones), due to the 'half' processing of each card. Remember that SLI does not actually doubles the speed of the card, neither its memory... But depending on the situation it can have real higher fps, and also, the fate of using higher resolutions (comparing 1024x768 w/ 800x600) will not make a considerable framerate loss...

For the second option, I suggest that the game may use certain 3D effects that voodoo wouldnt support (new effects made by time), and this could be what is slowing things down. Anyway, new games always come with more and more things, one day a v2 will work slowly for some games that'll require 128Mb and a 233 clock 3D processor to run at minimal framerate (guess how many triangles to merge at the same time)...

That can't be a V2 SLI can hardly run  GTA3 in opengl mode.
Start War and peace will be appreciated
