When you write a posting, below the big white windows there is a small button that reads "Image file upload: jpg or jpeg or gif extension and size <= 512kb
". Press that button and select the picture you want to post.
Thats all.

Get yourself a freeware / shareware picture editor, like Paintshop Pro 3.11 :
http://www.it.bton.ac.uk/Research/Archive/w3lessonware/toolset1/thrdprty/PSP311.ZIP
Start that program, load your picture and select RESIZE ( somewhere in the menus ). Try 640x480 or lower as new size, eventually reduce color depth to 16 bit.
You should be able to shrink your pictures to a size lower than 100 KB.

Another advice : When you post screenshots, try to keep the number under 10 ;) I'm on a 100mbit line and believe me i can take the load but whats irritating is that when I scroll down to see the last post it keeps going down because all of those screenshots need to be loaded. I understand you are very excited and want to show us how great it looks, and I have to say it really does look nice for a voodoo 3, its just that  about 30 screenshots is a bit to much. I made the same mistake a long time ago, i posted a picture with the size of 2048x1536 and that didint do to well on the forums template  [xx(] Now when i want to show it I make one picture with little size and the big one I place on an FTP server and i post a link to it. In my opinion that the best way to show your nice pictures :)
