Need a pictures VooDoo5 5000\5500 (AGP3.0-supp)

Need a pictures VooDoo5 5000\5500 (AGP4X\AGP3.0-support) with a big resolution(mainly AGP port). This pictures maybe helps me to do new mod AGP2.0->AGP3.0 for simple voodoo5 5500 (AGP2.0)

there is a trace (or two or three) in an inner layer where you would need to make a cut in the board for your proposed "mod" to "sort of" get started with.  If you have a motherboard with true "universal" agp 3.0 support, then no mod is necessary.  if you need to run a v5 in a motherboard that won't support it in AGP then just buy a PCI V5 5500, as this would be practically the same thing.  If you find a motherboard with a PCI66 slot then it will be EXACTLY the same thing.  the V5 doesn't use the AGP texture memory 2x/4x/8x thing anyways so there is no advantage to using the AGP version over the PCI version of the card.

Unfortunately, nowadays voodoo is dead :( GF2 GTS is more faster and compatible :( If you think that mod is impossible, you`ll can explain why voodoo5000 and rare voodoo5500 support AGP3.0 ?

the mod is not impossible.  I have been thinking of doing the same thing for over two years.  I just havn't found a good AGP to AGP socket to do my notch "cutting" for me.  as I said before, the V5 5500 has an inner trace or two just where the notch needs to be cut.  since no one will give up the layout files, the inner trace will be near impossible to reroute.  although I HAVE come to the conclusion just recently that all we really need to do is pull the MALE part of the notch out of the motherboard!  much eisier to do, and won't harm the V5 at all.  the other mod you will need to do is to add a "jumper" to I believe pin one of the V5 to either ground or Vcc (pull down or pull up) which tells the motherboard that the card you just installed is a 1.5V 4x card instead of a 3.3V card.... the V4 does it.  the only other question I have is, where does the level converters on the V5 get their power from?  the motherboard or the V5 3.3V power supply(s)?  I think we need hank for this answer.....  and I believe the "rare" 5000 and such get all of their voltages from the motherboard and not their own 3.3V supplies and this is why they can work and the V5 5500 will have problems.  Hmmmmm.  now that you have me thinking hard on this again, It may be even eisier than I thought previously........... I wish I had a schematic of the AGP V5 5500.....

I try to explain you ;) :
If you know AGP 2.0 and 3.0 specifications, you`ll understand me ;)
VSA, from italian forum, who does overvolt for voodoo5500, says that voodoo5500 gets from AGP slot ONLY VCC3.3V ((pages: 231...233) AB:9,16 and others...) and it`s likely that truth. For test it: I cut off all VDDQ pin`s(about 12 ;) ) and attach to this pin`s external power supply (3.3V) from ATX port. Then i grounded A2 pin *1.5 volt cards tie this signal hard to ground* and turn on the computer. Motherboard get`s 1.5V. My computer not started :( Then I test when A2 pin not grounded: COMPUTER WORK`S FINE!!!!! when voodoo get`s 3.3V from external power supply...
What do you thinking about it?
PS It`s very hard to do this mod for me: because voodoo russian fan`s not interested in this mod. They fear to kill their voodoo`s ;)

hmmmmmm.  I think you are on to something, but when you ground the A2 pin, it is telling the motherboard to get ready for 1.5V signaling and when you power the V5 from an external 3.3V supply, the motherboard will not get the right signal levels back.  If I had a schematic of the V5 AGP board, this would be sooooo much eisier.....  What we need to do is convert the V5 agp signals from 3.3V to 1.5V and back again.......  How does the V4 do it????  I will check the A2 pin on my V4 at home and let you know what is what.  this is the pin I was refering to before......
