thank you guys :)
would be great if someone came up with vmod for the ram, though.
i have vsa that clock quite good but with the memory its a different story.

quoting:
7) Back to the voltage modification: to connect the 47k "multi-turns" trimmer we have to remove one resistor, which is located on the upper right corner of the card, near the power connector, where you can clearly see 3 resistors in line. It is the third one if you start counting from the molex; in other words, the latter to the right. You can control its value with your tester (it should be a 17-18k resistor). Well... remove it and solder the 2 wires you are going to connect to the trimmer. Mind to regulate the trimmer in its middle position, before powering up the card.

I mind to the middle position (23,5Kom) and get 3,5V!!! Be carefully!!!  I turn off my computer immediately. Then a mind to ~20 Kom and get  3,25V. My VooDoo work stable at 185Mhz(with this overvolt and original bios 1.18). Before on 185mhz had an artifacts. At 190Mhz has a very-very small artifacts. VSA are cold. Can I get 3.3V ? It`s safely? What maximum voltage are safely (when VAS are cold)?

Translate please into Italian and post it to  http://www.forumzone.it/link.asp?TOPIC_ID=9153 ;) Thanks! And what about RAM overvolt and AGP8X? :)
Thanks all!
PS sorry for mistakes...

Hi LLIaJIyH. I am happy that you succeded in making the mod. :)
This also means that my traslation has been useful. ;)

I have translated in italian your suggestion about the trimmer position. Thanks.

I am sorry, but there are no clue about the resistance of the VSA to a higher voltage. From here, you are risking your card. Mind it before going on with overvolt.
Mind also that the man who has made this modification said that the ram of his v5 cannot go over 192 mhz, so you will not get a real benefit in going up with vsa frequency if you do not overvolt the ram too.

I am sorry, but the man who made the modification cannot be seen very often in our forum. He has a family and a lot of things to think of, so he has not posted anymore, after that thread. I hope to read him again in the future (maybe with those mods done... [^]), but unfortunately at this time there is nothing new about his projects...

About the ram overvolt, you have the right clues to try it yourself (point 4 of the guide), if you like. But mind that the risk is totally yours... so be very careful and think a lot about it! [8)]
Obviously, post here every experience you make and the results you get.

I am happy to know that somebody has now an overvolted V5 in Russia too. [8D]

It`s a very good idea... I`ll try to make that VooDoo5 5500 work`s on an AGP8X board. But I don`t know what pin on AGP get 1,5V\3.3V.

Here`s pictures voodoo 5500.

What Pin I could cut off?
