VooDoo 3500TV - TVout not independent of monitor ?

I am wondering if this is really the case! That the TV-out option is not independent of the VGA out.

I´m using TV-out when playing movies to my TV. I have dual output i.e. both monitor and TV. My monitor gets a bit stretched and silly, can work since I only use the TV-out when not working on the PC just watching movies. but it´s not ideal.

However I only have the dual out when playing in NTSC mode, when I switch to PAL the card refuses to give me the option of dual out, probably smart enough to stop me since most monitors can´t handle it.

Since I have a second TV that does not support NTSC I just get black&white unless using PAL output. But then I can´t work on the PC since the monitor is blank (not in the same room as either TV)

So my question after all this writing and talking:
Is the output to the TV and monitor from the same source, not independent of each other like most modern ...and older, TV-out options.

Thanks

Output signals to TV and to PC monitor begin from same source (and here these are dipendent) and then are processed by different circuits becoming so indipendent.

Let me know if this is your requested answer.

V3 3500 does not have two RAMDACs and therefore independent signals are not possible like on Matrox G400 (Dual Head),GF2 MX, MX400,GF3,GF4 all versions and  FX cards all versions (twinview or nview), ATI Radeon all versions (hydravision). Sorry.
