HI SmilnJak,
welcome to 3dfxzone.it en board ;)

Go on 3dfxzone.it --> Schede video --> 3dfx --> Voodoo2 --> Drivers --> Windows 9X/ME and download "Athlon-Voodoo2" driver kit. It is compatible with DX8 games (of course Voodoo2 or Voodoo2 SLI can't run "really" DirectX 6|7|8 effects due hardware limitations but it's possible get at least compatibility...)

Thanks for the help Glide:D
Will that driver also work with a K6-3 based PC or just the Athlon[?]

I think that the last 3Dfx reference drivers (3.02.02) are sufficiant.
They are "only" DirX7 but they proved to be very versatile, even if with DirX8 of course some visual glitches are possible.
But if the game needs a new Direct X feature, nothing can be done.
Anyway don't forgot the hardware limitations.

Athlon-Voodoo2 driver works fine with all amd processors: but if you have a system with an older cpu than Athlon...Athlon-Voodoo2 and latest reference driver give very similar performance (like well wrote by Nightbird).

Happy 2003 :)

PS: Athlon-Voodoo added Athlon compatibility to the reference release...

PS": Disable V-Sync for all API and Triple buffering (where is possible) to get good frame rate.

You can use the last driver for v2 fastvoodoo2 3.5, it is even compatible with Dx8.1, you will find it in 3dfxzone.it:):D [8D]
