I tasted some different drivers - nothing happend... still the same error...

Any idea ?

Welcome to 3dfxzone.it en board...

Remove current Voodoo3 drivers, Visual Reality and reboot. Then you must configure video card as "VGA Standard" (by Win2k device manager...) and reboot. Now install rc1 Voodoo3 3500 reference driver (file is located in Voodoo3 | Drivers | Windows 2000 site area) and after Visual Reality 3.10.06.

If need, I'm here ;)

I tried that but ther's still the same error [V]

During 3dfx driver setup you must answer "yes" when system requires you: "Overwrite files?".

Please remove all 3dfx related software and repeat installation with this tip...

Ok, I did that now six or seven times !
I used not only one driver and I also did the installation like you told me. So now I think the problem is not the driver ...
There must be a wrong filter-file or something like that.
I don't know what to do [:(]

One more negative installation and I'll give up [xx(]

Reppyboyo

u got SP3 or just clean install of bog standard W2K?

picknicker

I now downloaded the SP3 an installed it...
I also reinstalled the RC1 driver and VR !
Nothing happened  [V]

I think, I'll buy a simple TV-Card for watchin TV on my PC [xx(]
Anyone interested in a Voodoo3 3500 ;)

before re installing the drivers and the software, i would clean the registry
i don't know Win2K but with Win98 or ME :
Uninstall all 3dfx Tools/Software, uninstall the 3dfx Card from the Device Manager, and reboot into Safe Mode.
In Safe Mode, edit the registry (Execute > RegEdit) and delete all 3dfx entries related to Display Adapters/Settings.

Of course, be careful

Hi,
This is the same error of WindowsXP (with the standard RC1). I think that the problem is the SP3. Try to use my AmigaSport 3500TV-XP drivers on Voodoo3/Drivers/WindowsXP location. Bye

Thanks to all :D
but i fixed the problem with another trick...

I only overwrited the file C:\WINNT\system32\kstvtune.ax with a version a friend send me (thx to him) after booting in Secure Mode.
After rebooting Win2000 the "3dfx TV" worked *jipiiieee* !!!
But there was a problem with the frequencies... had to set each channel 1MHz down.
Now everything works fine but i think the TV-quality is not that good than in Win98 :( - don't know why.
