I have a Yakumo Voodoo 1 here, is this thing rare? It is bought quite late in holland with box and all things included. I have never seen such thing before so I would like to know if someone here recognises it. It is made in Taiwan (is said on the card) with a black PCB. It has 2 heatsinks on the card itself, I beleive they are standard. Unfortnuately I don't have any pics.

(Sorry for the bad english, i'm Dutch :D  [and proud of it [8D] ])

Hum, Yakumo  sold VoodooRush, Voodoo2's and Banshee's.
So the Voodoo1 would not be "abnormal".
They used probably the reference drivers.
Is your card rare ? if you have a full package, this is always interesting !
Its interest ? the heatsinks, if they are original.
I already saw on a picture a nice little V1 with a pcb black and 2 heatsinks (black) on it but no possible to see the manufacturer...so was perhaps your card  ;)

Do you have a picture of it here on the net? Then i can compare those two. And yes as far as i know i have it complete. Included the box and even the original buying ticket.

Well it certainly looks exactly similar, however the picture details aren't really good enough to see it. The heatsinks look the same too. Also the golden "spot" on the front of the card looks really familiar with mine. Even the sticker on the backside of the card has a yellow dot, just like mine. On my card itself I don't have a brand or so.

But there are some differences, i have a sticker on the front of my card with a barcode and some numbers under it. The sticker with the yellow spot is different too, concerning the blue writings on it. On the bak at the left top there is a sticker, i don't have such one. One you pic, you can also see on the back left in the middle of the card that there is a small sticker, mine is bigger and is a warrenty sticker "Warrenty Void If Removed"

I Don't know if this is important, but I have 83 MHz Ram on my card, quite fast i think.

Well I have also a wierd 3Dfx Original Voodoo Graphics :

and this is my Skywell Technologies Voodoo Graphics:

The funny thing is, that my 3Dfx Original has TM memory chips that are clocked at 66Mhz and my Skywell Technologies Voodoo Graphics has TM CH Mem chips that are standard at 100Mhz.... Wierd![}:)]  What is so special about mine?

Well the front of my card is exactly the same layout like Obi-Wan's one. (the lower one) only difference is the mem chips he has 100 MHz and the number on the sticker. That number is on the box of my card too!

Now is my question, do I have a rare card? Let's hope so! I didn't knew that yakumo made 3dfx cards at all.

Well I think I do have a Rare Hybrid of a crossing between an Voodoo Graphics and a
Helios Voodoo Rush Edition!

this is my 25th Voodoo card:

Canopus Pure3D Voodoo Graphics 6MB PCI + Composite TV-Out/S-VideoTV-Out/Stereo-In:

Helios3D Voodoo RUSH Edition Deluxe PCI 6MB + Composite TV-Out/S-VideoTV-Out/Stereo-In:

3Dfx Voodoo Graphics PCI 4MB:

I just added those other two cards for the comparison as they are relatives of my Canopus Pure3D Voodoo Graphics Hibryd card.

And yeah, it has the outputs and memory of the Helios3D Voodoo Rush Edition and the layout of the Voodoo Graphics aka Voodoo1.

I have never seen one of these beauties before. Has anyone around here have more specs about it?

I'm afraid not. However, it looks exactlyh the same as Obi-wan's Voodoo 1 on Black PCB, only differnce is that it is constructed by Yakumo.

It's a bit pity that there aren't so many users here [:(] But that's life, it is not always good :)
