i have a wierd problem with my voodoo:
when i use other refreshrates then 60hz in 1024x768 the colors arent displayed as they should. same in all other resolutions, there's only one refresh rate the makes the colors right( 75hz@640x480, 85hz@800x600).
i have a sli configuration... and both cards are exactly identical(3D Magic II)
when i use only one of them there's no problem in any refresh rate.
when i took some screenshots in ut at problematic refreshrates, the pics didnt have that problem.
what could be the problem and who do i fix it?

i solved formatting the system..

do you have overclocked the voodoo2?

Unistall Voodoo2s drivers, reboot and install these again.

did you try to enable v-sync ?

well, i have already formatted the comp at least 5 times, changed/reinstalled drivers, but the problem is still there.
v sync doesnt solve the problem

Is the colour corruption a reddish or purple tinge?  I only ask because there is a memory timing issue with some Quantum3D cards that can be remedied with a registry fix.

well, it's something like that, but the cards arent Q3D.

both of the cards works perfectly as single v2.

Assuming you are using Windows 98 you could try the registry fix.  Be aware that fiddling with the registry can be dangerous.  You can backup the original key you are replacing by going to Start, Run and typing in regedit and clicking OK.  Then navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\3Dfx Interactive\Voodoo2 and make sure it is highlighted and then click the Registry menu and select Export Registry File.  Save the file somewhere known with a suitable name.

You can download the Quantum3D registry file from the URL below-

Just double-click it to merge it with the registry.  If it doesn't fix the issue then double-click the file you exported to restore your original settings.

Well, in the past CreativeLabs said that some errors existed sometimes running SLI mode ; the problem was the sli cable providing too much impedance and  affecting the display : the colors were incorrectly displayed

The solution was a shorter sli cable

So, you can perhaps check or change the cable in order to see...

welp, i think this could be the problem...
when i got the two voodoos they didnt have a sli cable so i created one from a floppy cable.
it's pretty long compared to the normal sli cables.
i need to find myself a new cable then

or simply shorten the one you have

well, i have shortened my sli cable and the results are:
in all res @ 60hz the problem is gone, in other res some of the problems are gone, but the problem is still there.
my cable is now 3-4 pci slots long.
do you think shortening it for only 2 pcis will help?
