Hardware target: 3dfx Voodoo2/Voodoo2 SLI systems + latest Radeon or latest Geforce.
Software target: MS Windows 2000 and Windows XP environments.

Hi guys,

we know about configuration issues regarding system with Voodoo2 cards and Radeon 9500 and above and latest Geforce FX series.

So few days ago we have put on line FastVoodoo2 3.5 XP that has solved only a part of these problems: well a new release in beta step of FV2 is ready and some testers are already trying it.

If you have a system that matches targets above please reply here and give us availability to test this beta.

Of course, we don't accept all demands because are looking for one or two testers.

Tnx for reading it.

I have a Sapphire Radeon 9500 that is being shipped back from the store, it should already be well on its way, and a Diamond Monster voodoo 2. I can test this beta when my card arrives, which should be no more than a day or two.

I would be grateful to know what the "configuration issues" are exactly?

My Voodoo2 SLI is very important to me and I will be spending a large amount of money on a new graphics card in a couple of months time.  If I buy a Radeon 9800 or similar I don't want to have to sell it again when I discover my Voodoo2s no longer work.

What are the issues?  Do they only affect Windows XP?

Thanking you in anticipation.

- amp_man: when your system is complete write me a mail.

- procerus: simply...you can't use Voodoo2 because apps don't run by this device. For more datails read topics in "Voodoo2 Setup and Tweak " forum. Therefore it is monitored with NT based OSes only.

We are trying to solve via software with FastVoodoo2 updates but i want add that:

1)Machines with Radeon 7xxx, 8xxx, 9000...9200, have not compatibility issues with FastVoodoo2 and Voodoo2.

2)ATI could be informed about this and make its part [8)].

3)A hardware trick is that to choose a right setting for "AGP Aperture Size" in system bios. Tipically, a low value as 32mb or 64mb.
In some cases this enables Voodoo2 with good results.
