Does anyone know of a motherboard which supports an AMD AthlonXP 'Barton' 400MHz FSB and has a universal AGP slot?

I've noticed that with an AthlonXP 2000+ you get about the same performance as with a 2.261GHz Pentium 4 in 3DMark 2001SE 330.
So with an AthlonXP 3200+ with a 400MHz FSB the performance should go through the roof :D

i believe you need to look at a kt333 board... or a ecs k7s5a... :)

I don't think the KT333 has a 400MHz FSB...but yeah, like qrazi said, I think that's the most/highest motherboard you'll get with a universal AGP slot...

| AMD Athlon XP (Barton) 2800+ @ 3200+ (11x200) | Cooler Master Jet 7 | ABIT NF7-S Rev 2.0 (nForce 2) | Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2 | Sapphire ATi Radeon 9500np>9700np | Sound Blaster Live! X-Gamer 5.1 | 3dfx VoodooTV 200 PCI | Western Digital 40GB & 120GB HDD | Pioneer 106s DVD | LG 52x24x52 CDRW | Cambridge Soundworks Desktop Theater 5.1 DTT3500 Digital Speakers |

sure it has a 400mhz FSB... :) if you get an overclock friendly one...

kt333 max pci divider is 1/5, so when you select 400mhz fsb, your agp and pci speeds will be 40 and 80.... that is too much i think...

well I also use a VIA KT333 base mobo, it's an ASUS A7V333-RAID  Rev 1.04 did a nice Bios update with Bios 1017 and it is upgradeble to AMD AthlonXP 3000+ Barton with 512KB L2. :D It is possible that you can put a Barton 3200+ of course it will work only it's FSB will automaticly set to the older 333Mhz FSB. It's a well known feature.

My sys specs now are:

AMD AthlonXP 2700+ Thoroughbred-B [2167Mhz, 256KB L2].
ASUS A7V333-RAID
1x 512MB PC-2700 Samsung Original
[:o)]3dfx Voodoo5 5500 AGP 64MB[:o)]
SB Live! 1024
Intel Pro 100/S Desktop Adapter

Win98SE Fully updated
DirectX 9.0b

and yeah it runs fine, especially UT 2003 and of course Max Payne2 :D :D

here is my score with 3Dmark 2001 SE Build 330 at reso: 640x480x16

3542. it is believed to be the highest 640x480x16 Voodoo5 score yet for Win98SE systems and the 3rd and 4th place in list for all OS'es.

it really is to bad those sis motherboards dont have a universal agp slot, the chipset does support it... would be nice to have a 50euro motherboard which outperforms a kt400 and comes close to a nforce2... :)
