Hello eveyone!

Finaly I got my 3dfx Voodoo5 5500 AGP 64MB running in my Dual AMD AthlonMP 2200+ with ASUS A7M266-D mobo.

So eventually I installed Amigamerlin 3.0XP for Win2Kpro.

It works perfectly, but I can't find the option: Emulate T&L that I used to have in my older sys: XP2100+ ASUS A7V333Raid + Voodoo5 5500 AGP with Amigamerlin 2.9 for Win 9X.

Is there an update so I can enable Emulate T&L with Amigamerlin 3.0XP under Win2KPro?

Regards,

Obi-Wan Kenobi.

you can use the utility 3DAnalyzer which emulates perfectly the T&L under Win9x, Me, Win2k, XP

But how about geometry assistent ? That was originally used in the old 3dfx Tools, but he's right I can't find it in the new ones.
Does anybody have the 3dfx tools with geometry assistent and FSAA demo key ?

because of differences in the operating systems, it wasn't present in the 2k/XP version of the tools, only in the 9x/ME versions. AM 2.5se had "Force MMX/3DNOW" commands which were similar to geometry assist in design, but were never completed, so they were removed from AM 3.0.

has anyone ever benchmarked 3danalyzers T&L software? does it actually help performance or just compatebility?

welll I run Win98SE now with Amigamerlin2.9 and it does have Geometry assist[Emulate T&L] and after setting it up for UT2003, it ran perfectly at reso: 1024x768x32 with Very Hijgh world detail and all the settings at normal. something like between 35 and 40 frames anyway it was very playable.:)

Only Max Payne2 did a little funny though. the levels in the game itself went okay, I used Reso: 800x600x32 and everything at High detail like Mirrors on, reflections etc..., the game ran smoothly, but poor old Max had no legs and hands!!![?]

Could there be a solution to this problem, If I disable Geometry Assist Max Payne himself doesn't get any better.[V][V]

lol, duh, the Max Payne 2 engine is the same as the Max Payne 1. All they did was include a few more effects, shaders, etc, as well as including the Havoc physics engine (the same one that's used in HL2), and there you go. So there's no reason why it shouldn't run on a voodoo 5...

3D Analyzer help in compatibility issue !!.. it permit to start Games that require T&L. I remember you all tha Thoms (the author of 3D Analyzer) joined our team then some good news can come out shortly !!

By the way something is already happened .. Now Spiderman the Movie, a good games, that require T&l to start now works nearly perfect without graphics problem (with a new 3da in beta stage) or menĂ¹ corruption!! then T&L emulation are works correctly for this games !!
