as far as I know, there is only 1 rampage in existence, although the 3dhq community claimed to have one, the only known one is in italy, i believe. you will probably never see this card up for sale, only see it's technologies in the nvidia (ugh) fx (as in 3dfx) line of cards.

not believe exist 3 series from rampage
1 rampage ,1 rampage +1 siege and 2 rampage + 1 siege, all down the name spectre, and this last serie outrunner to geforce 3

well, your english is pretty bad there, no offense, but from what i think you're saying, my response is that I believe those were projected possibilities for cards. i think by seige you mean sage, which was the off-chip tnl unit designed for the rampage. but the never got the original rampage chip running decent, so the sage was not produced, as it was useless without a funtioning rampage.

well what about this one then:

http://members.lycos.nl/pictures3dfx/3dfx%20Voodoo%20Rampage%20Spectre%203000.jpg

isn't this the 3dfx Spectre 3000 the one with 2x Rampage and 1x Sage T&L Unit??

or is it another enginereing smaple of some other type Voodoo?

here is a list I found at Plasma Online:

These were the planned 3dfx Rampage series based cards:

Spectre 1000 -  1x 3dfx Rampage
Spectre 2000 -  1x 3dfx Rampage + 1x 3dfx Sage
Spectre 3000 -  2x 3dfx Rampage + 1x 3dfx Sage

And this would of came after them:

Fear -  1x 3dfx Fusion + 1x 3dfx Sage II

But isn't there no resemblance of 3dfx' Mojo?

Anyways the most logic thing for the Fear series would of been:

Fear 1000 -  1x 3dfx Fusion + 1x 3dfx Sage II

Fear 2000 -  2x 3dfx Fusion + 1x 3dfx Sage II

Fear 3000 -  2x 3dfx Fusion + 2x 3dfx Sage II

Fear 4000 -  4x 3dfx Fusion + 2x 3dfx Sage II

That's what could of been very possible.

And The 3dfx Mojo series cards would of came out after the Fear series later that time.

yes, that "rampage" is a V3 combined with a V5. rampage was supposed to have 1.5V slot support and AGP 4x, so the easiest way to identify stupid fakes is to look for the second gap in the AGP connector.

There are many theories, ideas, speculations, and downright BS as to what 3dfx planned for the future. all we can know for certain is that it didn't happen, and never will

Has anyone thought that if the end-of-the-line 3dfx cards were so powerful, how come nVidia has never built them? My answer is that they weren't what they were made out to the public to be....

I have thought, that Amigamerlin and his team have good connections with former 3dfx workers ? Maybe they can ask for us ? ;)

One easy and simple answer, nVidia didn't get anytech after the VSA series, i.e. no Rampy or anything else beyond...but they did get SLI, but I guess even nVidia's too stupid to use it...

bloodworm

Nvidia didn't build any 3dfx cards because they never bought any actual card designs....  only the patents around the tech within the chips and chip inter connections (sli) themselves.....

Then where did all those items in stock go to? Did they get destroyed?

Ever look at the 3dfx site back in the beginning of 2001? nVida was giving people rebates...something like if you sent them your voodoo card, they'd give you $30 off a Geforce series (high end), $20 off a mid range Geforce card, and $10 of a low end...something like that...my Voodoo 5 is worth more than that :). The point is, I'm pretty sure they destroyed them ;)

Hmmm... I know there is one in Italy! I know the guy, but I cannot give his name! Sorry! ;)

I don't know whether other samples really exist so far, but here's a bit of inside info, from another nameless guy :D:
The V5 successor, which brought 3Dfx over the brink of bankruptcy, didn't use Glide at all, but you don't care about that.  Only one of those chips ever ran at all, anyway, and it needed a continuous supply of coolant to keep it from burning up, and a clamp to affix it tightly enough to the board.

I cannot tell whether the guy refers to Rampage as the "V5 successor", tho... And, of course, I cannot give further details about the quote above. [:p]
