From a friend i have bought 3 voodoo 2 12 mb cards (they are from helios).

To start with the 3dfx world i wanted to make a setup like i had in 2001(just 1 voodoo 2).

So in my windows 98 pc i puted 1 of the cards and used the fast voodoo 4.6 drivers. The ''main videocard'' was a fx 5500 with the latest win 98 forceware drivers installed.

when i wanted to run the DONUT demo: it only gave the start screen and starting the donut gave me a black screen. (puting ctrl+alt+del, let me see the donut in a flash...) I tried all my voodoo's and they all got the same problem.

Then i Triend a radeon 9250.. And again it didn't work.

Now i used a matrox g400 dualhead, and well it works!

But in the future i want to use my fx500 or the 9250... is it because this cards are forcing their own to run the application on their own (and not let the voodoo run the application or what?)

If it's just a compatibility issue, could you guys please give me a list of working agp cards, because i have only 1 g400 and i want to get me some spare cards then...

well i didn't got drivers with it and i can't see what brand they are. I used a diamond monster 3d driver disc from when i was a kid, but that also didn't work. The fastvoodoo drivers worked the best but not with the fx 5500 or radeon 9250

With Radeon cards (maybe with Geforce cards too) you should use special glide libraries.
