I'm using the newest Amigamerlin 3.0 XP drivers and when I run Elite Forces, all text is unreadable. So far this is the only game I have had this problem with. Any suggestions? I have a Voodoo 4 4500.[:(]

try to get the glidexp 1016 package from http://www.users.on.net/triforce/glidexp/ and put the file "3dfxogl.dll" into the same directory as the*.exe for elite force. then rename the 3dfxogl.dll file to " opengl32.dll". this solved to same problem i had with MOHAA and Enemy Territory (also both based on the quake3 engine.)

Hey qrazi,
That did the trick. I'm wondering... Should the opengl32.dll that's located in the windows system directory or anywhere else, be also replaced with the 3dfx one?

NO, do not touch the ogl dll that is in your system folder. Also, Start Trek Voyager Elite Force ran fine back when I was using the last official 3dfx drivers. You might wanna give those a try...

opengl looks for the opengl32.dll in the application directory first, and then in the system directory. this allows me to use Glidexp with enemy territory, wickedgl with il2 sturmovik and amigamerlin opengl with the rest.

i did a driver comparison recently, and i didnt have to use this "trick" then. so perhaps a clean driver install would have helped as well. just that this "trick" is easier.. :D
note that the opengl files from amigamerlin are based on the glidexp set, at least that is what i thought.

if you still get artifacts, try Lecram25s suggestion, and get the opengl32.dll from the last official 3dfx drivers...

//offtopic: hehe, this must be the first time i helped some out... feels good... :D
