but pci cards have  the data go thew the ram then to the device haw will this work

Obi-Wan Kenobi

It'sa device like you said, all it does is let the system think it has a PCI port, the card it's self only makes it possible to run AGP x1 & x2 cards in 32bit 33Mhz PCI 2.1 / 2.2 & 2.3 slots and 64Bit 33Mhz & 66Mhz PCI-X Slots.

All it is, is a convertor device from AGP to PCI, nothing more nothing less, it's stand alone device and requires not to be installed as a sepperate device, the computer thinks it's part of the motherboard.

hope the voodoo 5500 fits in it it is a big card and with the agp2pci card its gonna be biger

Obi-Wan Kenobi

5500 AGP fits 6000 AGP fits even a Rampage 2000 AGP aka Spectre 1000 fits

AnyAGP x4 /x2 card fits ven an AGP x8 card fits but won't function unless it is 100% reverse compliant with AGP x2 3.3Volts, it's that simple.

i met in your pc case

Oh it will fit hehe, the card's tail's end just fits between the FDD bay and HDD bay hehe just a perfect fit, I can always build the 3dfx system in my Addtronics 6896A High Tower, that case has the perfect size for any V6K, as for the Dual OpteronDP 2380 X2 systems I will use the AGP2PCI and fit a V6K in the PCI-X 100Mhz slot @ 66Mhz 32Bit PCI mode, the case it has is the Lian Li PC-A7010 Black, this case is made for full length cards, so not to worry where these things will go hehe.
